Collecting general information
When you access our website, information of a general nature is collected automatically. This information (server log files) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system that is used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and so on. This only involves information that does not allow any conclusions to be reached about you personally. This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver the contents of web pages as requested by you and is mandatory when using the Internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us in order to optimize our Internet appearance as well as the technology that is behind it.
Like many other websites, we also use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. As a result, we automatically receive certain data, such as IP address, browser used, operating system from your computer and your connection to the Internet.
Cookies cannot be used to launch programs or to transfer viruses to a computer. Based on the information contained in cookies, we can facilitate navigation and enable the correct display of our websites.
The data collected by us will never be passed on to third parties, and no connection to personal data will ever be established without your consent.
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption techniques (such as SSL) via HTTPS.
If you contact us by e-mail or contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing the request as well as for any follow-up questions.
Deletion or blocking of data
We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data economy. Therefore, we only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes mentioned here or as provided for by the various storage periods provided for by law. After the discontinuation of the respective purpose or the expiration of these deadlines, the corresponding data will be blocked or deleted routinely and in accordance with the statutory provisions.
Use of Piwik
This website uses Piwik, an open source software for the statistical evaluation of visitor access. Piwik uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of your use of the website.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is stored on a server in Germany.
The IP address is anonymized immediately after processing and prior to its storage. You have the option to prevent the installation of cookies by changing the settings of your browser software. We point out that with a corresponding setting, some functions of this website may not be available.
You can decide whether a unique web analytics cookie can be stored in your browser in order to allow the operator of the website to collect and analyze various statistical data.
Embedded YouTube videos
We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The corresponding plug-ins are operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plug-in, a connection to YouTube's servers is created. YouTube will be informed about which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behavior to you personally. This can be prevented by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.
Anyone who has disabled the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program will not have to expect such cookies when watching YouTube videos. YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you have to block the storage of cookies in the browser.
Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via an advertisement sent by Google, Google Adwords will place a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is placed when a user clicks on an advertisement that has been sent by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on our website and the cookie has not expired, we and Google may recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies therefore cannot be tracked through the websites of AdWords customers. The information gathered using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers that have opted for conversion tracking. The customers are informed of the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page that has been provided with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that personally identifies users.
If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can refuse the placing of a cookie that is necessary for this purpose – for example, via a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic placing of cookies or by setting your browser such that cookies from the domain "googleleadservices.com" are blocked.
Please note that you cannot delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not want to record measurement data. If you have deleted all your cookies in the browser, you have to re-set the respective opt-out cookie.
Use of Google Remarketing
This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. The function is to present interest-based advertising to website visitors within the Google Network. A so-called "cookie" is stored in the browser of the website visitor, making it possible to recognize the visitor when he visits websites that belong to the advertising network of Google. On these websites, visitors may be presented with ads related to content that the visitor previously viewed on websites that use Google's remarketing feature.
Your rights of access, correction, blocking, cancellation and revocation
You have the right to receive information at any time about your personal data that is stored by us. Likewise, you have the right to the correction, blocking or, apart from the prescribed data storage for business transactions, deletion of your personal data. Please contact our data protection officer in this regard. The contact details can be found below.
In order for a blockage of data to be able to be considered at any time, this data has to be kept in a block file for control purposes. You can also request the deletion of the data as long as there is no legal archiving obligation. If such an obligation exists, we will block your data upon request.
You can make changes or revoke your consent by providing us with appropriate notification with effect for the future.
